Admissions

How it works

Our Admissions Process

Our process has a few more steps than most schools, and that is by design. It gives your family time to see how learner-led education works and decide whether Pace is the right fit. Many families tell us they enjoyed it, and we hope you will too.

  1. Research

Start with our website, FAQs and Resources, then read the Information Kit. It takes some time, and it is the most important step.

  2. Schedule a Tour

Every prospective learner tours Pace Academy. Parents are welcome to visit on their own first, but please come back for a tour with your child so everyone is part of this decision.

  3. Apply

If Pace feels like the right fit after your tour, we will send you the application. It includes written answers and adult references so we can get to know your learner. There is a $100 non-refundable application fee.

  4. Invitation

Qualified applicants receive an invitation to continue. You will connect with current families and schedule your child's Studio Experience Week.

  5. 5 consecutive days

    Studio Experience Week

Your child joins their studio for five consecutive days to take part in activities and spend time with learners and Guides. It helps everyone see whether Pace Academy is the right fit, especially your child.

  6. Acceptance

If it feels like a mutual fit, we will invite your family to enroll. Congratulations!
